Ermine are widely found in northern North America and Eurasia. Ermine inhabit diverse natural environments, commonly found in open grasslands, forest edges, wetlands, and shrublands, with a particular preference for areas close to water sources and abundant prey.
Their way of building nests is also unique, they usually sleep in their own nests made of hay and the fur of prey. They need to used the fur to ensure their warmth in the extreme enviroment. They usually build the nests in caves. The side holes deep in the cave can be used as places to store food or use the bathroom.
