Ermine are small mammals in the weasel family. In the part of the arctic food chain, ermines are tertiary consumers, because ermines eat mice, rabbits, and some other small animals. Ermines are a typical small carnivorous animal. They eat birds, frogs and some small mammals. Ermines also are preyed by some big animals, like raptors, snakes and wolf.
